Empower Energy is a Charitable Trust that aims to address energy affordability by sharing surplus renewable energy with those in need.
Empower Energy has a donation platform through its website that enables people to make charitable donations to vulnerable families struggling with the cost of living, by paying a proportion of their power bill.
Empower Energy has partnered with FinCap, to receive support and guidance to identify recipients for the energy bill credits. Empower Energy has worked with several financial mentoring services to pilot the programme, with a view to expansion.
They are seeking 'Super Donors' - organisations who can commit to regular donations of energy or money to feed into the hardship fund.
