Lovina McMurchy
Innovation Advisor
Lovina is an Innovation Advisor to Ara Ake and has recently been working as a general partner for a local venture capital company. She is active in both private and public company governance in New Zealand, including being on the board for Pushpay.
Before returning to New Zealand, Lovina spent the last 20 years working in global technology companies with a focus on Emerging Technology. Most recently she was a general manager in the Alexa division of Amazon and before that also pioneered Amazon’s move into subscription services. She held several senior leadership roles at Microsoft including product leadership at Skype and a tour of duty as Chief Marketing Officer for Microsoft Latin America. At Starbucks she launched several technology innovation services including the in-store wifi service and Starbucks first “order by phone” offering.
She holds an MBA from Harvard Business school and a Master in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Auckland.
